Tracy is an established artist, illustrator, writer, surface pattern designer and teacher. A visual storyteller, her art is filled with whole worlds of characters, textures and patterns. Colorful, quirky, magical, her art draws the viewer in and takes them to a playful place.
Her life's work has been about exploring the idea of the inner child. The original free spirit which for many of us has gradually been tamed, controlled, structured and molded by life yet still has a great need to be set free.
Tracy started her career at Hallmark, where she designed award winning gift wrap, greeting cards, stationery, three dimensional toys and packaging. She then went on to launch TeeLee Design, a freelance design licensing business.
She is the author and illustrator of two internationally recognized children books published by Little Brown Books titled “Bad Cat” and “Bad Cat Puts On His Top Hat.” As an illustrator she has illustrated over 15 educational books and created illustrations for print, as well as, character and logos for Nickelodeon. As a surface pattern designer, her designs have been licensed by some of the most respected retailers for various products within the home, gift/stationery and youth markets.
A fine artist at heart, Tracy's art has appeared at numerous galleries, permanent and temporary exhibits. As a teaching artist, she has been exploring incorporating children's art with her own through art workshops and collaborative large scale murals in Britain, working with art, education and community advocacy groups.
Tracy lives and works in a historic old mill in Marple, England with her husband, photographer Pete Kelly, and son Roy.
